Samartists

Samartists is a platform that offers its customers event planning, choosing executing agents from the database and even inviting a celebrity. They requested that the site structure and its design should be renovated, as the company got a new corporate style, and, therefore, their current site layout is visually outdated. The new site should attract customers and increase the number of orders.

The concept is based on the idea of a brief interactive presentation of two main types of services, which are event production and inviting artists. We kept the amount of additional blocks and sections to a minimum on purpose. The users should understand that this website is not an information, news, or music portal. The aim of the site is to present the company’s line of business and services. These focus areas had to be highlighted.

We separated site sections from so called quick user actions and created an additional bar with the following features:

• Search. It’s carried out without refreshing the page. As AJAX technology is used, the users can search anything without interrupting their main use case.
• Call / request a call. The users can request a call and choose time zone and convenient time for the call.
• Question form. It can be used if it’s inconvenient to call, and the user doesn’t want to place order right away.
• Quick booking form. It allows to fill in a request on the website.
• Animated media player, with playlist and song selection available. This player is embedded to all pages of the website. The animated icon is located in the corner for easy access.
• Language selection. This submenu expands without refreshing the page, which allows the users to perform some actions while staying on the same web page.

The website design brings together vividness and creativity and strict, well-organized process. To achieve it, we used the following stylistic features: 1. Combination of a handwritten font with a geometric font on the main page; 2. Combination of the secondary lines width and the frames width in the interface elements; 3. Combination of lively casual vibe that the photos of artists have with the UI geometric elements. The web pages’ skeleton is built on a special grid of semitransparent single-pixel lines that are displayed above the photos. At the same time, the visual blocks with the photo content are animated. Since the latter prevails, special color correction processing was used for the photos to achieve unified visual style.
